Hosted PBX
(Business Unlimited)

Your business can now have a complete office PBX
system at a moderate cost using the Voice Phone Hosted
PBX System.
A Hosted PBX system requires no switching
equipment in your office. In a hosted PBX, incoming business
calls are answered on our hosted PBX equipment. Because the cost
of this equipment is shared over many users, hosted systems can
have a complete and feature-rich system at an affordable cost.
Callers place calls from any phone, and the
calls are routed over the Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN)
to the hosted PBX system. The hosted system answers the calls
with a recorded greeting, plays a menu of connection options to
the callers, and then routes the call to appropriate employee
extension or to a holding queue such as for a support call
center.
As the call is routed forward from the hosted
PBX system, it is routed over the internet to the specific
extension of the employee that the caller is trying to reach. In
a hosted system, each extension is associated with a particular
person. This person can take the call on any phone, anywhere in
the world. This allows employees to work anywhere - in the
office, at a branch office, on the road, or from a home office -
and seamlessly receive business calls as though they were in a
single office location. This ability to handle distrubuted
employees is the single biggest difference between hosted PBX
systems and old fashioned hardware PBX equipment.
Outbound calls can be placed from any extension.
If they are not to another extension, they are routed to the
telephone system (PSTN). The costs for PSTN interconnect service
vary, but are generally much less than the standard phone rates
you are now paying.
In Office Phone Equipment

You may remember that in the old
days of hardwired PBX systems, it was necessary to buy special
telephones that would work only with your system. They were
generally expensive.
Your Voice Phone System
allows you to use any standard corded or cordless phone. You can
use the ones you already have. Each phone will require a small
converter box that allows it to plug into your network
connection, instead of a regular phone jack.
It is also possible to use any of
your computer workstations or laptops as a phone. Simply install
some free software and add a headset, and you have a full
featured telephone extension. This is particularly handy for
those employees who spend most of their day in front of a
computer, and for those employees who travel.
